Choose the right color for fire doors

Feng Shui colors are always of special interest to homeowners when designing interiors and choosing colors for the main door. However, do you know how to select colors for the door?

Choose colors according to the homeowner’s destiny

According to the theory of Yin and Yang and the five elements: Earth generates Metal, Metal generates Water, Water generates Wood, Wood generates Fire, and Fire generates Earth and based on the conflict to avoid colors that do not match destiny: Metal destroys Wood, Wood destroys Earth, Earth destroys Water, Water destroys Fire, Fire destroys Metal.

From there, the way to choose house paint colors according to feng shui is as follows:

  • Metal element: You should use white paint yellow paint or silver paint. Do not choose red.
  • Wood element: Paint blue or black, do not choose white, or yellow.
  • Water element: Should paint black, blue, and purple, should not choose brown, earth yellow.
  • Fire element: Should paint pink, orange, and red, should not paint blue.
  • Earth element: Paint the earth yellow, brown, or gray yellow, do not use green.

North-facing front doors should be lighter blues, lavenders, blacks, or charcoal greys as the element of the North is water. Metal creates water so you can add metallic colors like gold, silver, copper, metallic greys, and whites to your choice.

Northeast and southwest front doors should be earth tones like clay, beige, yellow, and brown. Fire creates earth so add red, orange, coral, terracotta, burgundy, pink, or any hot, fiery shade.

East and southeast front doors should be green, brown, and wood. Water creates wood so the colors produced are blue, turquoise, black, and purple – all values, from pastels to rich and dark will work on these doors.

South-facing doors should be fire colors like red, purple, fuchsia, orange, bright yellow, scarlet, coral or pink. Wood creates fire and the wood colors for this door include all greens, browns, and natural wood colors, including stains.

For west and north doors, you should choose metallic colors such as gold, silver, copper, bronze, iron (including rust), tin – all things metallic – plus gray and white. Earth is a productive element, so add clay, yellow, terracotta, bees, or any earth color.

Note the colors to limit the use

There are no bad colors in feng shui, however, you should also note a few colors that should be limited in choice because they do not bring good luck according to our ancestors’ concept. Specifically:

  • Dark blue or black represents evil spirits, bad luck, and ghosts.
  • Red in feng shui represents great evil. In addition, it is a hot color that easily makes people’s tempers hot, difficult to control emotions and behaviors, making it easy for families to have conflicts and discord.
  • Earth yellow is the color of the Five Elements star according to the theory of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. This star symbolizes murderous energy, bad news, and bad omens, so avoid painting the main door yellow.
  • Brown is considered a symbol of death energy and gloom. Accordingly, if you use this color for the main door, it means you are letting death energy enter the house, causing your health to decline.
